At Chartel Group, we implement a systemic approach to identify, manage, reduce and responsibly dispose of or recycle waste. Where practical, waste is characterized as hazardous or
non-hazardous as per regulations, and a waste inventory of all waste generated is maintained.
We provide staff training on hazardous waste handling, storage, emergency response actions and proper
record keeping, and continuously maintain a waste-minimization plan. This helps us manage on-site waste generation and helps us assess opportunitues for improvement.
We are also huge fanatics of renewable energy, and are working towards powering 100% of our operations with cleaner and renewable sources. We employ efficient energy-saving heating, cooling and lighting
in our everyday business, saving almost two times as much on energy consumption.
Among our key focus areas in ensuring the health and safety of our staff are emergency prevention, preparedness and response, and ergonomic hazard protections which include proper workstation layout, work methods and work/rest regimens.
We believe it is our duty to do more than provide safety precautions and procedures. We educate all our staff on issues
of emergency preparedness and safety, encouraging and rewarding staff who undertake environment, health and
safety projects. We seek to continually create efficient emergency preparedness systems for events such as fires and
other hazards, and occupational incidents and security. We implement regular monitoring and vigilance, and work with
our staff to enhance the understanding and awareness of personal protective equipment and safety gear, among other precautions.
We run ergonomic assessments on all new/modified equipment and workstations prior to being
put into production, and implement controls in collaboration with our staff to reduce ergonomic hazards at all levels.
All manufacturing, distributing, dispensing, possessing, using, or being in the influence of illegal
drugs, inhalants, or controlled substances in the workplace is prohibited.
